Notations From the Grid: On the Virtual Road @ #UNGA70

It has been a rather busy 24 hours as the United Nations General Assembly continues.  Yesterday saw the raising of the flag of the State of Palestine.    Mahmoud Abbas spoke and noted that he did find himself bound by the Oslo Accords.

Today was also a day that the Israeli Prime Minister spoke.    He spent the majority of his speech blasting the Iran Deal.     The analysis from +Haaretz הארץ is noted below:

This from the Electronic Intifada was even more blunt:

Video remixes of Netanyahu's long, awkward UN stare-down of world leaders.

Notations On Our World As A New Quarter Begins....

Our team has been working on the Daily Social Media Curation and it has been a challenging day already with all that has been going in Syria and Afghanistan.     We have also seen the tragic reporting from Iran on the death toll from the Hajj Stampede rising to over 400 Pilgrims.   A number of Iranian Diplomats are among the fallen.    It appears that the War of Words has subsidied a bit and that the bodies of the fallen will be arriving in Tehran tomorrow to be received by The President, The Speaker and the head of the Judiciary.

We wanted to share this "simple thought" as we begin the Quarter though that our team released earlier to the Daily Outsider Twitter Feed which drives us daily as we look forward to the continued privilege to serve:

An #Outsider Newsflash: The US Federal Government Will Remain Open......

As we have been planning out the new Quarter, we have also been keeping an eye on Washington and received an update that the Government will continue operating through December 11.   This is the latest we received on this from the team @Government Executive--This is only temporary though....

We will be assessing this as we are on the verge of electing new leadership in the US House of Representatives:

A Shutdown Has Been Avoided ... For Now // Sarah Mimms and Alex Rogers

Congress has averted a midnight shutdown, as the House on Wednesday afternoon followed the Senate's example by easily passing a temporary spending bill funding the government through December 11.
The stopgap measure passed the Senate 78 to 20 and then cleared the House on a 277-151 vote, despite the opposition of dozens of conservatives with objections to any package that continues to fund Planned Parenthood. Videos released by a pro-life group charge that the organization is illegally selling fetal tissue for a profit; the organization vigorously denies the allegations.

The #Outsider Quarter-End Musical Interlude: Kygo - Firestone ft. Conrad Sewell

It is Quarter-End here in the #Outsider network.    It has been a challenging three months to say the least.    As our team has tried to do what it can to help "transform" the conversation, we have also tried to "light up the World" that at times has seemed as dark as ever.     It was in this spirit that we decided to feature Kygo as our "Artist" as we end the Quarter here throughout Outsiders and gear up for a new Quarter as we are reminded of St. Sera's admonition to "Sempre Adelante" (Always Forward):

Notations On Our World (Special Edition) : @POTUS & @JZarif shake hands :-) :-)

As our team was working on its' daily assessments of the UN General Assembly, the Clinton Global Initiative and all the latest on the US Political Front with the latest on Planned Parenthood gearing up for the  4th Quarter, we jumped with joy at this scene:

For those who do not know the players, it is the President of the United States shaking the hands of the Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif as the UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon looked on.    Although the image apparently was "doctored" based on reports we've seen, the  handshake by Dr. Zarif caused some deep controversy in Iran.     Our founder made it a point of sending a "Bravo" Tweet" out on this as he also rebuked the Iranian Parliament member who raised objections on his Instagram account.

It is a challenging world as we enter a new quarter begins.

Notations On Our World: On the US Political Front

Our team has been assessing the aftermath of the US House Speaker's Resignation.   This is just one indication of it which the Heritage's Daily Signal reported on yesterday:

Mark Levin on John Boehner's Resignation: 'It's a Good Day, but Here's the Problem…'

"I don't mean to be offensive, but Kevin McCarthy? Really?"

It was quite shocking as we saw this as well from one of the other conservative newsletters earlier this morning as we went to press:

Let Obama Shut It Down and Own It

Establishment types believe that just as we are finally poised to recapture the White House, crazy tea party extremists are about to mess everything up because voters would blame and punish the GOP in 2016 for a shutdown. But they always tell us to wait until the next election. When we didn't control the House, they told us to wait until we did. Same with the Senate. Now they say we have to wait until Jeb Bush is president.

For folks who may not know who David Limbaugh is, he is the younger brother of the conservative talkshow host Rush Limbaugh.   Reports we reviewed noted that the last time Government shut down it cost the United States 24 Billion Dollars.    The outgoing speaker has said that there will be no shutdown--but the fight looms.

Kevin McCarthy has announced his candidacy to replace John Boehner when the Speaker's resignation becomes effective October 30.    We have seen reports that the Government Shutdown will be highly unlikely as potentially other issues might also be brought up for a vote which can pass with Democractic Support in the House     The so-called "Freedom Caucus" continues to be restless and the so called "Principled conservatives" continue to agittate.    There is also a race for the other leadership positions that is also beginning to take shape including Tom Price who is running for Majority Leader.

We must note that Presidential candidates have been quite busy as well.   Donald Trump came out with his tax plan as others continue to "pound the pavement" for money and votes. What continues to be fascinating is how the so-called "outsiders" continue to dominate the polls and how the establishment candidates continue to "lag".    The latest polls show Marco Rubio being ahead of his mentor, Jeb Bush!!!!   What we have also found quite fascinating is how the restlessness  and anger of the so-called "Conservatives" is amazing as they continue to agitate for their Social Agenda regarding Planned Parenthood.

It will be quite a few weeks as we look to a very busy October.

The Friday Muscial Interlude (Special Edition): Michael Franti's Once A Day

It was quite a night at our home here in Orange County, California.   We were witness to a beautiful lunar eclipse that gradually dissipated into a full moon.    It gave us a moment of pause to be ever so thankful for the privilege and good fortune we have.

On the eve of a new week and as we look to bid farewell to the 3rd Quarter we wanted to share this "Special" Musical Interlude that has at its' core living a life of purpose and remembering what's important which we have tried to live up to here in the properties of #Outsiders as we remember St. Serra's Admonition:  Sempre Adelante (Always Forward):
