As I have written about all the challenges at hand in our world, I continue to take stock of hope and opportunity. We must never, ever give up on such hope. I am inspired by the example of Liz McCartney who has been named a CNN HERO because of her work in New Orleans in the wake of Katrina. Here is her speech accepting her award:
