Notations From the Grid (Weekly Edition): Celeberating Diversity

 We hereby present this as a Quarter-end celebration & as we look forward to another quarter of service: 

Shahin Yousefzamani - "Fardah Ghashangeh"
This week we welcome composer and vocalist Shahin Yousefzamani to #FarhangPerformances with his original composition "Fardah Ghashangeh" (TOMORROW IS BEAUTIFUL), with lyrics by Yaghma Golrouei, and accompanied by José Fernandez (percussion), Mahsa Ghassemi (cello), and Hamed Poursaee (guitar). Mr. Yousefzamani graduated from the Tehran Conservatory and performed with Tehran Symphony Orchestra from 1992 to 2005. He has performed internationally with many renowned artists, including Mohammad Reza Shajarian, Iraj Bastami, Khashayar Etemadi, and Alireza Assar. He received an award nomination for his composition "Dasht" in the Young Composers Festival conducted by Maestro Seiji Ozawa. In 1994, he studied music composition with Professor Thomas Christian David, and since 2007, he has performed with many symphony orchestras in Southern California and toured internationally with the legendary singer, Googoosh. His compositions have been featured on Fox Television, as well as National Radio Airplay.
