On the "Social Grid": Some Brief Thoughts on the Eve of a 2014 W-End

It was a bit of a challenging few days as 2014 is gathering steam.    But, this admonition from Mary Anne Radmacher was worth reviewing so that the petty is forgotten and what is important is remembered:

Live with intention.
Walk to the edge.
Listen hard.
Practice wellness.
Play with abandon.
Laugh.
Choose with no regret.
Appreciate your friends.
Continue to learn.
Do what you love.
Live as if this is all there is.
- Mary Anne Radmacher

As I reflected upon this, I could not help but remember the plight of the family of Altzaz Hassan, the 15-year Old Pakistani Boy who confronted a suicide bomber and helped saved 1500 lives.   He's a true martyr that truly did the humane and courageous act.    Although, as his father noted, his mother is crying, 1500 mothers are not crying tonight because of him.    I remembered him earlier on Twitter as have many others--how can one repay such courage?   My response is this:  By being courageous enough to do the right thing.
