A Very Moving Day: Brief Personal Thoughts

Today was Veterans Day in the United States.  It is also known as Armistice Day which was celebrated in the United Kingdom.

I saw coverage of a very moving event at Flanders.  70 Bags were moved from the cemeteries at Flanders that is the final resting place for those who never came back from having marched onward to the Western Front.   In the United States, remembrances were held throughout the country.

I had the privilege today to be privy to the stories from Veterans who served during World War II, Korea, Korea, Vietnam and the Cold War.    It was quite moving and just a privilege to shake their hands.   This "snapshot" says it all that I received from the team @ Simple Truth:

Sunrise Inspiration from BestQuotations.com

"On this Veteran's day, God bless the men and women who served
and sacrificed their lives so that we remain free."

I am also heartbroken by the horrific scenes from the Philippines.       There is simply no words.    As the President of the Philippines has declared a National Calamity,  thoughts and prayers continue to be ever so with the Filipino people during their darkest hour.
