The Iranian Elections

The Iranian Elections is happening tomorrow. This is the election to the Majlis. The "leader" says it is everyone's Islamic duty. Yet, this is a government that has undermined the basics of the checks and balances. A virtual silent coup has insured that the Pasdaran (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp) has been entrenched in the vital organs of state. A sitting member of the Majlis has been charged by the Intelligence Ministry with treason for noting that the election is a joke. I wonder if this is in fact Islam...or an outright power grab by a ruling clique who is ever more hungry for power at the expense of the common man.
