Well, another interesting morning already....The Supreme Court dealt a major blow to the Adminstration on the issue of the detainees at Guantanamo Bay. They have the right to appeal to US Courts. The fact that the Roberts Court has done this is even more striking.
Also, in Israel, it looks like Olmert will lose his job. Now, internal Israeli politics is not the job of the Israelis. The problem is that some of the peace initiatives Olmert is working on will fall by the wayside. I hope that the Israelis recognize that Peace is just as much in their interest as the rest of the world. The Israelis have a lot to be proud of. Imagine what they can possibly do if they did not have to constantly look over their shoulder. As for Iran and its' so-called President, he talks tough..and that's about it. The Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khameini, is too pragmatic and smart to be allowed to draw into a corner. Does Iran have the technology to build a bomb? Are they stupid enough to do it? I don't think so.
