Week-End Notations On Our World: On #South Africa

We have been watching with horror the reports out of South Africa as the violence against Foreigners has continued to escalate.      It was of great interest that as our founder noted this while on the Daily assessment on the Grid that the Nelson Mandela Foundation sent out:
The challenge for South Africa is to somehow overcome this.   Despite the fact that it ceded its' number one position to Nigeria as Africa's biggest Economy, it is still noted as a beacon of light.  However, this is another unfortunate indication of the level of discontent that exists in the Country that has seen foreigners actually leaving South Africa.    Who will be attacked next? Whites?  Will Nelson Mandela's legacy be ruined by his successors?

Profound questions.....

An #Outsider Newsflash: Wikileaks Strikes Again

It was of profound concern as WikiLeaks struck with its' latest salvo on the Sony Hacking Scandal:

They assert it belongs "In the public Domain".    We here @ Outsiders are not clear as to what good it does.

Notations On Our World: A Challenging Day

It has been another bloody day in the Middle East.   A car bomb has exploded outside the US Consulate in Irbil as fighting continues to rage on in Anbar with Ramadi potentially being in danger of falling to Daesh hands.    This is as the horror of Iraq continues to startle ever more:

What is also interesting news is this:

His death is significant but how it impacts the fight with Daesh (also known as ISIS) as ISIS continues its' reign of terror in #Iraq and #Syria.   This is as the Iran deal continues to be challenging in lieu of the Congressional Action and with Greece potentially on the brink yet again.   Market losses were significant today especially as there are warning signs about the World before us.

Daily Notations from the Grid (II) : As #Clinton (#HRC) Begins Her Quest....

It was of interest as we assessed the view from the "Grid" on this to see how the "pundits" perceive #HRC (Our "hashtag" for Mrs. Clinton going forward) as she embarks upon her journey and the road ahead.   The contrast in these two editorials in the same paper was quite striking:

"Team Hillary's ascent to the Democratic nomination and White House isn't a certainty and challengers like former Gov....

"Clinton is offering presidential-level leadership to give voice and support to the powerful feeling of a large majority...

Someone also referred to the strategy as "boring"--as some have said (including the Washington Post's Chris Cillizza)have noted the challenge with the E-Mail Controversy and some have also noted challenges with the work of the Clinton Foundation (as noted in a report from the Wall Street Journal yesterday): It will be interesting.....

Daily Notations From the Grid: #TIme100 is Out & Iran's Zarif Made the List....

The Time 100 is out for 2015.   Iran's Foreign Minister made the list:

What he has been involved with must be noted in this that was written by the Wilson Center's Robin Wright. If anyone can make the #IranDeal happen despite the current curveball thrown by the US Congress, he can.
