Notations From the Grid: On Another Grim Anniversary in #Syria & Staying Hopeful

It is another grim anniversary as Syria enters the 5th year of a Civil War.   It was also disheartening to review the reports from Pakistan on attacks on Churches.      The story in this morning New York Times underscores the misery and tragedy that is Syria.    It is not easy to live up to Darren Hardy's admonition--yet there is no choice:

This is as the Fight for Iraq continues onward with the assault on Tikrit.

Disheartening News From the #Maldives: An #Outsider Newsflash

We've just seen reports of the former President of the Maldives, Mohammad Nasheed, being sentenced to 13 years in prison under the Country's Anti-Terrorism Laws.     It is a distubring develoipment and the concerns expressed by the Government of India as reported by +NDTV within the past 10 minutes is welcome news.

It is so ironic that a Country whose survival is at stake due to the on-going challenges with Climate has to tear itself apart in such a manner.   We will continue to monitor developments.

Notations From the Grid: Final Thoughts On the Eve of #IsraelElections

Polls have stopped and candidates have made their final appeals and the final polls are out:

What is clear based on the polling is that  Israel will have a new Prime Minister as of March 18.     We will be commenting on it throughout the day on March 17.    This is as this very telling editorial from +Haaretz הארץ hit the circuit:

Netanyahu must be thinking, what the hell was I thinking? - National - Israel News | Haaretz

It clearly shows that Israel yearns for change--and it will happen!!

A Musical Interlude: On "Being One"....

It has been almost a year since this beautiful song came out--the spirit of it is ever so crucial to remember that we're "All One"

Notations From the Grid: On #IsraelElections, Iraq & Middle East Peace

The reports from Iraq are hopeful today as Iraqi Forces and militias have made their way to Tikrit, Saddam's hometown.   There is some irony as General Solemiani, Commander of Iran's Quds Force, is spearheading this effort--as he has been at the forefront of having saved Baghdad when the Dayesh Merchants of Death.

We have also been assessing the state of elections in Israel.  +Haaretz הארץ is reporting that Herzog & Livni's Zionist Union is ahead of the Israeli Prime Minister's Party, Likud.     If Herzog in fact forms the next government (and all indications point towards it), it will be a game changer.     It was also poignant as the King of Jordan, Abdullah II, noted this earlier--which is pivotal as the fight against Dayesh continues:

Notations From the Grid: On The "Letter", #IranTalks & Other Thoughts

Our Founder shared these observations late Tuesday night which we wanted to report on as the aftermath of the so-called letter continues.   It is interesting how the specter of commentary has been on it--from hilarious to outright dangerous as Republicans doubled down including Governor Jindal of Louisiana who has demanded an apology from Vice President Biden for "insulting" Senator Cotton:

The dialogue of the deaf is in full force.
