The Friday Musical Interlude: Kings of Convenience w/Misread!!!

It has been admittedly a challenging week here in #Outsiders.   However as we are "back in operation", we wanted to begin by featuring this selection from our artist of the week, Kings of Convenience as we wish all a fabulous Friday and a fabulous Week-End (and if you have not gotten a flu shot yet, we urge you all to do so!!!)

Notations On Our World (Special Edition): #Iran Votes

Elections have begun in Iran to vote for the Parliament and the Assembly of Experts.     The Supreme Leader (or what we like to refer to as the Supreme Guide) has cast his vote at his own personal voting booth in Tehran:

رهبر معظم انقلاب رای خود را به صندوق انداختند

As we await the results, the Islamic News Agency released an infographic on the turnout--although in Farsi--it is interesting to note how after a dip in turnout, it has seen an increase.   It will be interesting to see what the turnout is going to be:

The results should be available by tomorrow.   Please watch this space.

Notations On Our World : On #Nevada; @realDonaldTrump & Other Thoughts

It has quite a whirlwind on the political front as Donald Trump blew away the competition in Nevada.   This is as the remaining candidates are due to be on the stage again at another debate on the eve of the Texas Primary.    What was striking was the comment by Senator Jeff Flake of Arizona when he noted in the aftermath of Nevada, "...I am scared".

As we worked to get caught on the latest, we could not help but take note of this published by the noted GOP Campaign strategist Stuart Stevens as It is telling in laying out a roadmap on how Trump can be beaten.   The discussions on Morning Joe yesterday on some of the interesting background on Trump University and the most recent article on his business dealings is also quite telling:

Trump Can Still Be Beaten—Here’s How

TRUMP CAN STILL BE BEATEN—HERE’S HOW
BY STUART STEVENS
The Republican frontrunner is anything but unstoppable—assuming one of the other candidates decides to finally knock him out.
