Notations On Our World: On #Baltimore
As Authorities in Baltimore have been trying to bring some semblance of normalcy back, what was so funny was when Congressman Cummings mocked the Media as he said how successful they were in getting people back home as he was on the streets and said, "you guys are taking pictures of each other...". But the larger challenge was ever so epitomized by Jon Stewart in his monologue which was vintage Jon:
As the reality laid out by Jon Stewart speaks for itself, there was also another disturbing element. The Governor of Maryland had signed an Executive Order effectively suspending Habeous Corpus--which results in the detention of some 100 people for up to 48 Hours. The wrath of petitions resulted in their release as reported by the Guardian which we also shared on Twitter earlier.
