Mother's Day

I wrote about this in "outsiders" earlier as a tribute to Mothers. It was such a joy to be a part of this yesterday during my Son's Cub Scout Meeting. May the Lord Bless all the mothers of the World....

Despite all the challenges that we face in our World today, this is a day to celebrate Mothers. My son's Cub Scout Den worked on this poem as a tribute to Mothers that I was proud to be witness to as they worked on it as a team.

Mothers are a source of strength and a source of hope. We must always have faith as we continue to think about our World. We must have faith.

Happy Mothers Day to all...I hope everyone enjoys this:

"Roses are red, violets are blue,
You are pretty, yessiree too.

Roses are red, violets are blue,
Sugar is sweet, and so are you!

Roses are red, violets are blue,
I love you, yes I do!

Roses are red, violets are blue,
I love you, and you are great too.

Roses are red, violets are blue,
I love you so much, I just don't know what to do!

Today is Mother's Day in the United States. All of are blessed for life and must always be thankful for all that we've been given. As I thought about this, I revisited this classic from Steve Jobs which I also shared with friends on Facebook and Twitter.

I took time off "outsiders" to continue to reflect and remember. One of the films I love is the Desert Fox..which is a study in leadership, loyalty and committment. Those are the traits I pride myself on..and that which will sustain me.....

It has been an interesting and challenging year.    I just finished a brief "write-up" for the "outsiders" network about taking a little time off to reflect and to assess the next stage of where things stand.

There is a lot going on in our World.  I wanted to find a "home" to reflect and think about the World I want to be--but not the World that I am told it is.   That's why I wanted to begin "outsiders".     As I took a little extended "Think Hour" to reflect, gear up for the new week and the new challenges before me, I ran across this from David Cameron that I think goes to the heart of some of the ideas I have been talking about.   The May 6 election is the UK is a water shed event in many ways.    David Cameron is right in that there is no money.  The question before us is what are we going to do with the rest of our lives.  It begins with keeping the faith and  hope for the future.      I see no other way.
