As I Finish Off Q1 2010...."Just Beyond Impossible"

There have been many challenges.....but there are always opportunities...and this "Thought For the Week" courtesy of my Friend Jim Holden is a fitting close to a tough quarter and hope for better and brighter days ahead:

Just beyond impossible

When it seems like everything is breaking down, the time is ripe for a real breakthrough. In turmoil there is great opportunity.
When the only choice is to find a new way forward, you're in a great position to find that way. When you have nothing left to fall back on, you'll figure out how to move ahead.
What seems impossible is impossible only from your current perspective. Just beyond impossible is the chance to jump up to a higher level.
Imagine what you could accomplish if you were ten times as effective as you are right now. When circumstances are compelling enough, you are completely capable of making such a leap.
What challenges you, improves you. Whatever challenges you to the extreme can push you into a breakthrough.
Are you ready to move beyond impossible? Make your reasons meaningful enough, so that you have no other choice, and you will.
-- Ralph Marston

As I work on closing out Q1 2010, Capistrano Unified is meeting to impose its' "view" on what is at hand. They have to see how the world is racing to be educated...yet we're hell bent on dismantling what has made us different:

Al Jazeera English - Watch Now - Al Jazeera English - Live Streams

As I approach the 1000th posting of my personal blog, one of my biggest highlights was the discovery of Al Jazeera. I commend the Emir of Qatar for having had the courage and the backbone to create a channel that tells it like it is day and day out. Al Jazeera talks about our world..and All the other so-called Media Giants should sit up and take Notice:

The Perils of War

As I saw the President speak at Bagram and reported on it in my Outsider Views Site, I could not help but see the price in blood and treasure America had paid for the wars it has fought.  I have to wonder whether it is truly worth it:  http://www.costofwar.com/

The Daily Star - Politics - Arabs increasingly convinced US unable to stand up to Israel

As Q1 2010 draws to a close, I have been thinking about the ever-changing world. I continue to be optimstic and periodically report out to my friends within "facebook country" and "Twitterland" about the Middle East and what people ought to think about. I sense an Arab Street that is disappointed and agitated that nothing seems to work. I was glad to see what Amir Mousa noted after the Arab Summit. The Arabs have made a joke of themselves too..and they seem to know it. But, the Arabs also know that the US does not have the backbone to stand up to Israel. What the President did to Netanyhau should be an indication of a tougher US Stance. The question is will Israel understand and will that change the sentiment as we enter the second quarter of 2010. The Obama Adminstration must take notice now:
