Brief Notations On the World Today: On #Scotland & #Iran

[LINK=http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-scotland-29250391]Scotland has gone to the polls.[/LINK]     It is anxious times in the UK as Scots begin casting the ballots as to whether they desire to remain part of the United Kingdom or not.  The implications for Europe and the World are huge.     People, though, will have the final say.

Beyond Scotland, there is the Middle East--yet again.    Ann Curry of NBC News had a very revealing interview with President Rouhani of Iran as he began his second year as President:

He's due to be in New York within the month.  This is as he underscored the disdain Iran's view of the profound disdain for US Efforts to combat the cancer of the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.   It was gratifying, though, to see that nuclear negotiations will be resuming as well.

Never a Dull Moment....
