A Plea For Peace: Can it be possible?

Today is a very tragic day for America.     I took comfort in the Words of St. Francis of Assisi as I remembered all those victims and all the victims of violence all around the World that slose their life to senseless acts such as what happened today:

Peace Prayer

Attributed to Saint Francis of Assisi, founder
of the Franciscans (1181–1226)
Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace;
where there is hatred,
let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is discord, union;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born
to eternal life.

Just as 9/11 changed America, the tragedy in Boston will also change how America will be.     When will we wake up and recognize to simply do the right thing?
