Fullbright Scholarships...

To win a Fulbright scholar is in an of itself an honor. It is even more so when a Palestinian wins it. There was a front page story in the Friday edition of the New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com, retrieved May 30,2008) about how the scholarships were taken away. The front page of the May 30 edition of the New York Times had a picture of one of those Fulbright scholars: a 30-year old Palestinian woman who worked as a software instructor. She was aspiring to come to the United States to study for her MBA. When will the suffering in Gaza end? When will everyone come to their senses and figure out a way to co-exist and focus on what is right?

The irony of it all is this: Ehud Olmert is starting to make some peace moves. It may be too little, too late. He may not survive in office to see it through.
