Elections 2006

We are again in an election season. One of the worst contests is the race for the 5th District Board of Supervisor Seat in Orange County, California. It is nasty, to say the least. The mailers being sent out are just hillarious. There is no real discussion of the issues: Traffic, housing, the environment, sustained development. Far-sighted leadership is something that seems to be lacking. Ambition is commendable, but not at the expense of sacrificing the intergrity of the political system and insulting the intelligence of the electorate.
