Another Interesting Week

As we ordinary folks struggle on with our lives, Washington was abuzz again with what Patrick Fitzgerald, the Special Counsel, did. The Chief of Staff to Vice President Cheney resigned after he got indicted for lying to the grand jury investigating Valerie Plame Wilson's name. The spinmasters will have their say and some have already begun questionning Patrick Fitzgerald's motives (even though he is a Bush Adminstration Appointee). The only comfort I take in this is that the system works. No one is above the law and Mr. Fitzgerald is one example of dedicated public servants who will uphold the law and underscore the continued strength and vitality of our institutions.
